We are pleased to welcome a special guest speaker, Amit Shuker, a Lieutenant (Res.) in the Israeli Special Forces who will be speaking Saturday morning after services on the GEO-POLITICAL SITUATION IN ISRAEL and TERRORISM.  

 

He will explain the events and consequences of Operation Cast Lead, Iran's threat to Israel, the Second Lebanon War and the other current Israel's threats. In addition, he will discuss the IDF's missions and goals, what tactics the Hamas, Iran and Hezbollah are using, and what are their future plans.  He will review  Israel and Middle East geography; the ongoing threats against Israel including from internal terrorist organizations such as Hamas, Islamic Jihad and P.L.O., as well as from external terrorist organizations such as Al Qaeda and Hezbollah. 

 

Please join us for services and for this important program.

 

Kiddush lunch will be provided.

Thank you for everyone who helped make our  Havdalah Program with Guest Speaker ANN MONKA such a succes Saturday evening, August 23, 2008 .  Guest Speaker, Ann Monka, spoke on her experiences with the Bielski Partisans during World War II, which are the subject of a soon to be released feature film. The highly anticipated motion picture Defiance hits theaters in Fall of 2008. Staring Daniel Craig (James Bond).  The movie depicts the true story of the Bielski Brothers and how they resisted the Nazis, and rescued over 1,200 Jews.  Ann Monka was one of them.
